On the River
For those who love those water activities, there is a public boat landing just 4.5 miles from our cabins. Also there S & S Marina for those who wish to rent pontoons or fishing boats, located in Lansing along the river.
There is plenty of sightseeing activities, such as the Driftless Area Visitor Center, Mississippi River Refuge, historic Lansing Bridge, Effigy Mounds National Park, Mount Hosmer, Yellow River Forest and views along the Scenic Biway Highways.
Local Drinks
Local bars is the famous Sheps Riverside Bar and Grill, The Safehouse Saloon, Milty's, Coffee on the River and the Other Place.
For those willing to venture to see the tourist attractions, check out Great River Roadhouse in Desota, Wisconsin (just over the Lansing Bridge), they serve the best pizza, ribs, chicken and sandwiches. Also there is an amazing brewery, Toppling Goliath Brewing Co., which offers world known brews. This is a definite crowd pleaser. There is also several wineries in the area!
For those wanting to view the Mississippi while you are enjoying your beverage, Shep's and Coffee on the River have amazing outside seating.
Local Eats & Treats
The best pizza in the area is the Safehouse Saloon. They will even deliver to our cabin. Just make sure you call ahead to ensure enough staff are on that day.
For the best ice cream in the area, visit the Skinny Dip. They also serve Chicago Style Hot Dogs, Flat Top Hamburgers, Walking Taco's and fries.
